What we collect
When you check the sky, we keep the venue you picked, the date and the result, so we can plan your shot if you come back. When you leave your details, we keep your names, email, phone number (if you give it) and your notes. We count page visits with an anonymous id stored in your browser; there are no advertising cookies. If we email you a link to this site, the link is personal, so we can see that you came back and what you checked.
What we use it for
Only to answer you, plan and book your capture, and understand which parts of this page help people. We never sell your details.
Who helps us
Amazon Web Services runs this site, searches places and shows the view of your venue. SkyFi checks satellite availability and books captures. Satellite operators (such as Vantor, Planet and BlackSky) take the picture. NASA’s POWER project supplies historical cloud records. We send your venue and date to these services to answer your check; we only share your contact details with them when you book.
How long we keep it
Checks are deleted after about 13 months. Contact details stay until you ask us to delete them.
Your choices
Ask us to see, correct or delete your details at any time by replying to any email from us.
